16th Thinkers and Writers Forum 2013


The 16th Thinkers & Writers Forum was organised on the theme of “Regainig 8% Growth with Equity” on 6th-7th June 2013 at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Mumbai.

The key contents of the forum were as follow:

  • Regaining the growth momentum
  • Translating growth into equitable growth
  • Role of reforms and technology in pushing growth
  • An agenda for India’s growth
  • Increasing insurance penetration
  • Creating a social security product
  • Accelerating SME growth
  • Financial services for the last mile
  • Urban infrastructure and governance
  • State-of-the-mart on financial technology
  • New bank licenses, post bank and women’s bank
  • Financial inclusion for women, disabled and Marginalised
  • Financial literacy and financial inclusion of SHGs and panchayati raj institutions

Given the above framework, Skoch Development Foundation called for papers from domain experts, practitioners and academicians. Our editorial team scrutinized the papers received and the authors of final list of accepted papers were sent invitation to present papers at the 16th Thinkers and Writers Forum. The authors presented their papers amidst an august and elite gathering which provided them an opportunity for academic discussions and deliberations.

All the authors, whose papers were selected, got a complimentary invitation to attend the 32nd Skoch Summit. Selected papers from the Forum may also be considered for publication as deemed fit by the organizers.
